Remember that saying as a child, “say it, don’t spray it”? It was a simple phrase made up to help kids remember to not spit when speaking and to enunciate everything they’re trying to say. It also holds a double meaning behind it; third, if you also take into consideration our current situation of a global pandemic.

This is not only a public service announcement to wash your hands, stay home, and practice innovative ways of social distancing, but to actually say what you mean, and not just spray toxicity (or germs) around.

I truly believe we have the power to manifest our realities when we speak. When we speak, we can either bring positivity or negativity into a room and that very energy can linger. Our words are either wounds that can leave a lasting hole in our heart or a kindred kiss to soothe just what killed our hopes and dreams. Either way, behind our words comes the responsibility to choose what we say. So would you rather spread negativity and toxicity like Covid-19 or focus on speaking positivity and healing?
